Join our next outdoor adventure to watch the annual gray whale migration & elephant seals colony with pups in this uniquely beautiful corner of West Marin which also offers spectacular Pacific ocean views, unique landscape, plants and wildlife, plus a famous historic Lighthouse, all without actually having to set foot on a boat:-): POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE

Protected content We will watch the elephant seal colony with newly born pups. Next stop: Point Reyes Lighthouse, featured in John Carpenters Protected content "The Fog". The overlook platform is great for spotting migrating gray whales (bring your binoculars). Next: short drive to Chimney Rock with an easy hike (2 miles) to the scenic whale spotting overlook.

FOOD & ENTERTAINMENT
We'll enjoy our BYO & share intl. food picnic back @ Drakes Beach around 1:30 pm. Bring snacks & refreshments if you get hungry before that. We'll have our refreshment cooler as usual.

LOGISTICS
It's about 1.5h North of the GG Bridge, so please leave some extra time. Try to car pool. There is limited parking. It can be quite windy out there; dress in layers, firm shoes & hats.
