Kinotayo Film Festival: Baka's Identity
Baka’s Identity
Synopsis
Takuya and Mamoru, two young men from disadvantaged backgrounds, trap men by posing as women online, then sell their data. Friends and accomplices, they nevertheless aspire to escape this shady world. But when Takuya turns to Kajitani, a brotherly figure and criminal mentor, they discover that breaking free from the mafia's grip is much more difficult than they had hoped. At once sensitive, hard-hitting and socially conscious, BAKA's Identity intensely explores the fragility of destinies caught up in the spiral of crime.
