Beyond Our Horizons: From Tokyo to Paris (Exhibition)
Beyond our Horizons: From Tokyo to Paris invites visitors on a journey into the heart of matter, creativity and craftsmanship.
Inspired by the idea of a universe governed by elemental forces and the philosophy of the five elements — earth (土, do), water (水, sui), fire (火, ka), wind (風, fu) and air (空, ku) — the exhibition explores the deep connections between nature and creation.
Organised around five chapters, the exhibition celebrates the encounter between the art houses of 19M – Atelier Montex, Desrues, Goossens, Lemarié and Atelier Lognon, Lesage, Lesage Intérieurs, Massaro, Maison Michel, Paloma and Studio MTX – with Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary creation.
New artists and designers have been invited by the Galerie du 19M to continue this conversation, offering their own interpretation of the elements. Their sculptures, ceramics, textiles and light installations remind us that craftsmanship is not a static tradition but a living art form in constant transformation.
