SOLD OUT FILMS AT MOMA ARE NEVER SOLD OUT. If you didn't get your ticket read my recommendation at the bottom of this description.
A rich, strange mix of Hitchcockian thriller and ghost story, Personal Shopper involves a young woman in Paris coping with the sudden death of her twin brother, who may or may not be communicating with her from the afterlife, and with her own splintering identity. This reteaming of French filmmaker Olivier Assayas (Irma Vep, Clouds of Sils Maria) and actress Kristen Stewart draws out unforeseen and riveting talents in each, and leaves us hungering for more. For those interested dinner will follow at Connolly's, which is across the street from MoMA.
1. The entrance to the Theater is NOT the museum's main entrance. Walking west on 53 street, it precedes it. It actually does not have a civic number but you cannot miss it.
2. We will meet by the benches DOWNSTAIRS next to the theater's doors (not the ones in the lobby by the ticket counter).
Check in and go down the escalators to T1, Theater 1.
3. If you are on the standby line text me to let me know it.
4. Moma has free WI-fi, even in the theater.
SOLD OUT FILMS AT MOMA ARE NEVER SOLD OUT. If you didn't get your ticket go to MoMA well head of time and wait on the standby line. Usually everybody on standby gets a ticket, HOWEVER the Contenders is a much attended series at MoMA. You need to be in the front of the standby line to make sure you get a ticket.
