A Place in the Sun Protected content a film I find deeply moving and still very relevant today. It received nine Academy Award nominations and won six Oscars, and Charlie Chaplin once called it “the greatest movie ever made about America.”
The film explores the tension between desire, intention, and moral responsibility in a remarkably subtle way. We can simply watch and enjoy it, or talk a little afterwards if we feel like it — no pressure at all.
