Emanuele Macaluso and Sergio Staino tell us about one of the greatest novels of the 19th century, written by Victor Hugo and first published in Protected content this spectacular social fresco follows the lives of several characters, particularly the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean, in the time frame of almost twenty years of French history.

After the event we can go together to the Florence Brunch Group's “Oltrarno Brunch”, or if you prefer, we can have a coffe at Overglass, near the auditorium, talking about the book.

The auditorium is reachable by line T1 in 15 minutes from Alamanni Stazione (Resistenza stop).
The event starts at 11 am, but the meeting is at 10.30 since the entrance is free until all available seats last.
