Vineyards Visit Lake Zürich : Open Wine Cellar Day

Hi there wine lovers,
Welcome to the season opening of vineyard visits. On the first of Mai, the vineyards in the German speaking part of Switzerland have their day of open wine cellars.

We will start the day earlier and meet at 11:30 at Protected content From there we will walk to “Weingut Bachmann”. It takes about half an hour to get there: it is bit uphill, so wear comfortable shoes. The vineyard is known for the great views on lake Zürich. They produce wine of local grapes like Räuschling and Riesling Silvaner, but also from Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

After Bachman, we will visit Schweizer Weinmanufactur in Uerikon. The vineyard is situated Protected content from the Protected content about 3 km from Stäfa. Schweizer is one of the best vineyards on lake Zürich. They produce red, white and sparkling wines

To finish the day, we can go to a third vineyard which is situated a few hundred meters from Schweizer. They have the barbeque on, so ideal to finish the day.

The vineyards offer this tasting for free, would be nice to buy at least one bottle per person to support them. The number of participants in limited: so if you sign up, you join. The event is on, unless the weather forecast predicts a Hurricane with winds of over Protected content per hour.
