Today, the branch of the order still maintains a library with 3,000 manuscripts, approximately 160,000 books, and 170,000 volumes of periodicals, as well as a museum of ancient Armenian art. The monastery also produces a well-known specialty, the herbal liqueur "Mechitharine." Since Protected content , this stomach-friendly beverage has been produced according to a family recipe documented in an old manuscript from Protected content , which was brought to Europe from Constantinople by the order's founder.
