Discover the Rheingau Monuments - May the Fourth Be With You! :-)

Join our wine guide and expert Markus Eser for a hike and wine tasting where wine and history is made - in the scenic vineyards of the Rheingau.

May the Fourth is not only a special day for Star Wars fans, but also for our wine guide Markus. He will tell his story, accompanied by two wines from his family estate, Weingut August Eser.

Markus is a true native of the Rheingau and the only official ambassador of the Rheingau Monuments (the iconic estates of Kloster Eberbach, Schloss Johannisberg and Schloss Vollrads). Their history has shaped the wine culture of the Rheingau, and indeed, German wine culture as a whole.

The tour:
- Meet Markus at Oestrich-Winkel station
- Walk to Schloss Vollrads past Mittelheim Basilica, Graues Haus, Brentanohaus
- Taste two wines, possibly in the tower!

- Walk to Schloss Johannisberg, visit world-famous wine cellar "Bibliotheca Subterranea"!
- See the Spätlese Rider, Goethe View, taste wines from Kloster Eberbach and Schloss Johannisberg

- Walk downhill to Weingut Allendorf on the Rhine for a perfect end to the day
- short walk to Oestrich-Winkel station

May the Fourth (of wine and history) be with us! :-)
