Halloween Danube Walk: Cemetery of the Nameless
Join us for a special Halloween adventure combining mysterious Vienna history with an approximately 11–12 km walk along the Danube back to the Prater! 🎃🥾
We will meet at Enkplatz and travel together by bus 76A/76B to Alberner Hafen. From there, a short path leads to the Friedhof der Namenlosen—the Cemetery of the Nameless—where mostly unidentified victims recovered from the Danube were laid to rest.
After exploring this unique historical place respectfully, we will begin our mostly flat walk back toward the Prater. We expect to arrive between 15:00 and 16:00, depending on our pace and breaks.
Those who prefer a shorter experience may return by bus after visiting the cemetery. At the end of the hike, anyone interested can join us for optional food, coffee or drinks in the Prater. The venue will be decided closer to the event.
