David Fray, Piano
The pianist David Fray will perform at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in a recital of great poetic intensity.
A distinctive artist, renowned for the depth of his interpretations and his special affinity with the music of Bach, David Fray presents a program that explores the dialogue between spirituality, lyricism, and romanticism.
The evening will open with the Bach–Busoni Nun komm der Heiden Heiland BWV 659–661, a masterful piano transcription that reveals the full architectural richness and inner fervor of Bach’s music. It will be followed by Bach’s Partita No. 6, a summit of inventiveness and contrapuntal elegance.
The program will continue with the Largo from the Organ Sonata BWV 529, in Samuil Feinberg’s piano transcription—an expressive moment of suspended purity.
Finally, Schumann’s Fantasie, Op. 17, will bring the concert to a close: a monumental work of German Romanticism, at once passionate, intimate, and visionary, offering the pianist a vast field of expression.
An exceptional recital, led by an interpreter of rare sensitivity—an event not to be missed.
Ticket prices: from €5 to €75.
