CANOEING ~ through the water lilies
Difficulty Level: Easy but requires some arm muscle power. You'll be 3 people in each canoe. Canoeing is a very strengthening and entertaining experience. The trip lasts about Protected content but 2 hours of it is a relaxing experience on the small islands. You can sun tan or swim if you don't mind the initial chill. Totally virgin lands & bays like in Survivor series ;)
This weekend we will be at Lake Terkos which is located in Durusu National Park close to Black Sea shores. The area is a niche for water loving things like fish, frogs, toads, water beetles and wildlife. It is also the time of the year for water lilly blooms. Considered by many as the jewels of the water, water lilies are not only beautiful to look at, but they also serve an important purpose, mainly in aiding the ecosystem of the area.
While canoeing, we will paddle from one small island to the other. No previous experience required. Our guide who is a previous navy officer will teach us the tips, tricks and basics of canoeing before we go on the water. A local safety boat will also follow us during the expedition.
When you canoe you become a 'a child of nature.'' Become a child yourself again and paddle across serene waters of Lake Terkos. Life moves in perfect unison with the sights and sounds of the wild as you guide your canoe across brilliant blue-green waters full of water lilies. Join us for a great excursion to enjoy the stillness of the water, the crispness of the air and the serenity of the aquatic plants.
Price includes home made breakfast at the beach, canoe rentals, guide, security boat, TURSAB insurance, TURSAB guide, lunch pack & Transportation. PS: We will go to a local fish restaurant at Karaburun beach after the activity.
