From Kırıntı Village to the Clouds: the Menekşe Highland Trek

Not quite summer, not fully winter. September offers the perfect weather for a physical trek through a beautiful, color-shifting forest in the Western Black Sea region. Join us as we explore the trails connecting Kırıntı Village and Menekşe Highland.

Discover the Samanlı mountain range during its most refreshing month. This guided day-tour invites outdoor enthusiasts to experience a mixed forest landscape where vibrant summer greens intermingle with early autumn tones. The journey kicks off in the historic Kırıntı Village, known for preserving traditional highland culture.

Leaving the village behind, our path ascends 450–550 meters through deep valleys. Hikers will navigate a mixed loop underneath a canopy of beech, chestnut, and oak trees showcasing a stunning multi-colored transition. The pinnacle of the trek is the sweeping Menekşe Highland, where open plains feature late-blooming wild cyclamens and autumn crocuses pushing through the meadows. This hike requires a steady base fitness level, sturdy hiking boots, and a love for crisp, high-altitude exploration.
