Bordeaux - Southwest
ever heard of "Arinarnoa" ? Well, it is one of the new grapes now allowed in Bordeaux to fight climate change. And yes, we actually do it, taste Bordeaux. Obviously no other region has shaped the international wine world and wine taste as much and made Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon world stars. let us look at the pecularities of these region shaped by its Chateaux and Cru classés, see what left bank and right bank mean, what the World Exhibition of Protected content to do with it.... I obviously can´t fish for the big fish, but have lesser known Chateaux with very good revisions. But I would like to start with the much older wine regions of Gaillac, Cahors and Madiran with their monasteries quencing the thirst of the pilgrims on their way to St. de Compostella. These regions are now seeing a revival, and their old grapes might have a good future in a warming world. As always the wine is accompanied by a presentation and a meal..... Mind, I only have strong red wines that have seen wood his time, and provide no weird orange wines as starters..... but ghope for all sorts of (weird) cheese...... a la francaise..
