Let's Picnic As A Gallo-Roman 🦁
It is not only Nîmes, Rome or Athens who can boast of having arenas: Paris too.
This place is located in the Latin Quarter and are ultimately uncrowded. We can sit up on a bench to watch the sandstones decor, or on one of the steps with our picnic to witness a fight of imaginary lions. And if it's nap time, we can lie down under the sun.
Anyway if the Romans knew that this place would become one of the best places to play petanque in Paris ... The oldest monument in the capital (after the Obelisk) is indeed an ideal ground to go tease the Jack borough. And who knows, maybe the stands will be filled if you insure as much as the gladiators that once faced there under the Roman Empire.
