Exporing Shinjuku Gyoen
I invite you to join me to explore the must visit National Garden in Tokyo:
Shinjuku Gyoen which is the perfect Harmony of the Nature's Beauty & Human's Intentions!
We walk through the whole place with intermittent rests at a restaurant for lunch and coffee/tea breaks.
My intention for this event is to introduce and tapping into the nature in a mega-city to remind us of modern society's need to be a part of beauty of it and receiving healing porperties that come from the nature abundantly.
So that we can progress to start giving back to the nature for a reciprocal relation.
Shinjuku Gyoen was constructed on the site of a private mansion belonging to Lord Naito, a "daimyo"(feudal lord) of the Edo era. Completed in Protected content an imperial garden, it was re-designated as a national garden after the Second World War and opened to the public.
With 58.3 ha Protected content in size and a circumference of 3.5 km, Shinjuku Gyoen, the representative modern western-style garden in Meiji era, blends three distinct styles, Formal Garden, Landscape Garden and Japanese Traditional Garden, and is considered to be one of the most important gardens from the Meiji era.
