Designed for the couple Marie Debard and Édouard Hannon by their friend and architect Jules Brunfaut. On the first floor of the Maison Hannon, explore the building’s turbulent history, from its abandonment to its gradual restoration. Discover how this private residence, originally conceived as a total work of art, became a symbol of the heritage of Saint-Gilles.

From Home to Heritage traces this evolution and reflects on the questions it raises. What allows a place to become heritage, and how can it be shared thoughtfully? Preserving what remains, restoring what has been lost and opening the site to new interpretations are all part of this ongoing process; one in which visitors are warmly invited to engage.
