Botanical Studies #2: Hanami – Sakura / Cherry Blossom

At the Jardin des Plantes, the famous Shirotae Japanese cherry tree is in bloom this Spring. This remarkable tree, with its immaculate white, delicately scented flowers, can be admired earlier than usual this year and is currently in full bloom.
The Shirotae is not the only one to stand out this spring of Protected content . Directly opposite, a pink cherry tree also catches the eye, and the combination of the two colours along the same path creates a striking contrast.
Please bring your own art materials & sketchbooks and maybe a folding chair. There are benches in the park but not necessarily in the right place to draw the cherry trees.
