Contemporary Art Installations #17: JR – La Caverne *POSTPONED*
La Caverne du Pont Neuf, a monumental temporary artwork by JR, will be on display from 6 to 28 June Protected content . The work will pay tribute to Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s The Pont Neuf Wrapped, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in Protected content .
It will be a limited-time opportunity to discover a temporary reinterpretation of the city’s oldest bridge.
The installation will not receive any public funding. It will be financed by the sale of JR’s works as well as by private support, just like Christo & Jeanne-Claude’s work in the day!
Please feel free bring your own art materials, sketchbooks and maybe foldable chairs (or something to sit on).
