Don’t Walk By is Rescue Alliance’s annual winter outreach connecting unhoused and hungry NYC neighbors to hot meals, winter resources, health services, shelter connections, and more

You can volunteer on a street team (focused on lower Manhattan : 45th St to Houston, river to river, plus a few transit hubs) or in on-site support roles at the host site.

Shift options will be shown on the registration page. I’ve chosen the 9:30 AM shift, but feel free to pick the second shift if that’s more convenient.

Host site: The Salvation Army Protected content 14th Street, Manhattan)

A few key notes from the organizers:

- Volunteers must be Protected content are expected to stay for the full shift.
- Please plan to watch the pre-outreach training videos the week before you serve (some roles may require extra training).
- This initiative has been running since Protected content its 19th year) and has connected with 10, Protected content over time.
