Let's visit Stephané Conradie and Elise Thompson's 2 person show
We will meet artist Elise Thompson and gallery director Francesca Pessarelli in a two-person show of Elise and Stephané Conradie. Elise will talk about the idea behind the paintings, and Francesca will discuss the symbiosis of the sculptures and the paintings. The talk presumably will be Protected content . We can stay as long as we wish.
Please meet us in front of the gallery at 10:50 am - if it is not too cold.
The director's suggestions and notes are these:
Only bring small bags/purses.
No backpacks, pets, or children (This is just for the safety of the sculptures).
The gallery is only accessible by the stairs. There is no elevator access.
Ceysson & Bénétière New York is pleased to present Find / Fuse, a two-person exhibition of works by Cape Town based artist Stephané Edith Conradie and Brooklyn based Elise Thompson. This exhibition will be on view through March 11th, Protected content . Find / Fuse is a process of perception, collection, withholding, and joining. But also, probably, a critique of the unseen. Conradie and Thompson are alchemists of sorts—their material exploration and use of transparency calling the viewer to question what is visible versus what is known, acknowledging that the two do not always converge.
Directors and curators: Maëlle Ebelle & Francesca Pessarelli
The program is free.
