Jangueando: From the Barrio, With Love
Visit with me Jangueando: Recent Acquisitions, Protected content at Protected content , where art becomes a space for connection, reflection, and collective imagination. Inspired by the spirit of “jangueo”—to gather, to hang out, to be in community—this vibrant exhibition brings together nearly 40 newly acquired works across painting, photography, sculpture, and video.
Moving from street corners to dance floors, Jangueando explores the power of shared spaces in times of uncertainty, highlighting voices across Latinx, Caribbean, and Indigenous diasporas. Featuring artists such as william cordova, Danielle De Jesus, Mundo Meza, Carlos Motta, and Daiara Tukano, the exhibition celebrates resilience, kinship, and evolving cultural narratives.
More than an exhibition, Jangueando is an invitation—to gather, to reflect, and to imagine new ways of being together.
