**If you can only join for part of the day, please message me.**
For the third year in the row, Kamakura Jidou Home Children's Home/Orphanage has asked me to take part in their annual summer festival.
They have various games, food stalls and performances done by the staff and children of the home, as well as volunteers.
I run the Dagashi (traditional Japanese candy) fishing game. Basically I prepare bags of candy to put into a small kids pool, and the kids try to "fish" them out with a clip/string on a chopsticks.
Volunteer tasks include putting together the candy bags, and helping take tickets or stamping kid's cards when they play the game. We can work in shifts, so that people can also enjoy the festival, that has other food stalls, crafts and entertainment put on by the children.
If volunteers can help pitch in anywhere from 3,000 yen+, it will help me cover the costs for the candy and materials. All of the costs are coming out of my own pocket and generally is about 50,000 yen total. So any support would be appreciated!
**Please note, no photography will be allowed due to the sensitive nature of the location**
