Monte Carasso - Tibetan Suspension Bridge

Cloudy and raining again in Luzern this Saturday? Never fear - we can be in sunny Ticino in just 90 minutes! We will start this moderate 3-hour circuit hike in Monte Carasso in the direction of Curzútt, where we will find the Romanesque church of San Bernardo. The church dates back to the 11th century, with frescoes added in the 14th and 15th centuries. Soon afterward, we will find ourselves crossing the only Tibetan suspension bridge in Switzerland. At Protected content long and suspended Protected content above a mountain stream, it's sure to offer us a thrilling experience. As we make our way back to Monte Carasso through the chestnut forest, we may encounter some local goats foraging for fresh spring shoots. MeteoSwiss is calling for 18 degrees and partly sunny in Bellinzona, so let's enjoy!
