Ukraine: The Search For An End: Part I - Russia

Sometimes history is much more closely connected to the present.
In the first part* of this two-parter we watch an 1 hr interview with Russian socialist and peace activist Boris Kagarlitsky, who holds the honour of having been imprisoned by every leader in Russia from Gorbachev to Putin. He is openly opposed to the invasion of Ukraine, is actively helping the resistance struggle, and has useful inside information about what is really going in Russia behind the scenes, one year into the war.
After the video we will have a discussion. This subject material is naturally very sensitive, so we do ask for respect for the victims of this terrible and senseless conflict on all sides when we discuss it.
* The second part I am trying to set up for April, as I have made contact with a Ukrainian left social movement that is, while firmly opposed to the invasion, also opposed to further escalation by all parties involved. They also claim to be finding a voice for those at the receiving end of their country's exploitation by local oligarchs, international organisations and multinationals alike. This event will likely take the form of an interview/discussion.
