This is a friendly and vibrant Dutch brown cafe/restaurant on the Egelantiersgracht, the most beautiful of the Jordaan canals, popular with locals for eating and drinking. The stampot / hutspot is tasty and typical Dutch cuisine, comfort food… potato, carrots and onion mashed together topped with a large beef meatball or sausage and lashings of gravy (see photo below), a full plate of food for €11.95. Other traditional Dutch cuisine… French fries (only kidding) but actually the fries are very good here, pea and ham soup with rye bread and smoked ham on the side, and bacon pancakes with maple syrup, very yummy!

Their burgers are huge and filling with freshly made 220g beef patties and the salads are a meal in themselves. They have a full and varied menu and a nice selection of Belgian beers as well as one seasonal Dutch beer on tap.

So let's meet and enjoy the Dutchness! ;-)
