A Night Adventure in the Filoli Garden

Let’s celebrate pre-Halloween somewhere a little magical this year — Nightfall at Filoli! 🎃🌙 This is a rare chance to experience one of the Bay Area’s most spectacular historic places in a way we normally never get to see it.

Built in Protected content , Filoli is one of the Bay Area’s most beautiful historic estates, with a grand Georgian Revival mansion, 16 acres of magnificent English Renaissance gardens, and surrounding woodlands and redwoods. It’s stunning by day — but seeing it after dark is a rare and completely different experience.

For Nightfall, the entire estate transforms into an immersive Halloween world. We’ll wander through the historic mansion after dark, follow moonlit paths through the redwoods, pass 1,000 glowing jack-o’-lanterns, towering scarecrows and enchanted woodland installations, and eventually make our way into a hidden Witches’ Village beneath the trees. There’ll also be pumpkins, firelight, live music, seasonal treats, and plenty of beautiful (and slightly spooky 👻) photo opportunities.

🍂 We may also get dinner together beforehand, depending on timing and the group. I’ll update everyone with the dinner plan as we get closer.
