Let's plant trees in honor of "New Year of the trees" & MLK Day!
In honor of Tu B'Shvat and the “New Year of the Trees” and MLK Day, City Plants will be hosting a tree planting event at Elysian Park. City Plants is a nonprofit that plants and distributes 20,000 trees a year. They work with six non-profit partners and several different LA City departments to transform streets and neighborhoods.
Let's join their family-friendly tree planting event on January 19 to plant 70 new trees in Elysian Park.
Be sure to register in advance using this link:
Volunteer registration will begin at 8:30 AM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. They are asking that we all wear close-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle, if possible.
Look forward to seeing you there for our first LA Changemakers event of Protected content !
Happy New Year!
