Premiere: Dance Piece about Katharina Henot, the last woman killed as "witch" in Cologne.

"Hex-Hex" – The Henot Conspiracy is the third part of the "XX" trilogy, in which choreographer Bibiana Jiménez is looking for the female side of Cologne. Agrippina, Ursula, Katharina: Three Cologne stories, three strong women who have left a clear mark on the city of Cologne, its history and its society.

"Hex-Hex"-The Henot Conspiracy is an scary dance theatre performance-a danced, obscure game of power, social decadence and conviction. Katharina Henot, born at the end of the 16th century, was the most famous victim of the Cologne witch hunt. The successful entrepreneur and well-known and influential woman in the city was envied and slandered, imprisoned and tortured, then strangled and burned at the Cologne Melaten Cemetery.

The businesswoman and daughter of the imperial Postmasters fought by all means (legal and illegal) to be able to carry on the company of their father. Unusual women who questioned and resisted the existing order were the classic victims of the witch hunt. The denunciation was a good opportunity for the men who had thrown an eye on the mail business to get rid of the uncomfortable lady who disrupted the existing order and business interests.

Who are the witches today? How do women conquer a position of power in the male-dominated economic world? Are you also condemned by society today?

Yes, I'm a witch,
I'm a bitch
I don't care what you say,
My voice is real.
My voice speaks truth,
I don't fit in your ways. (Yoko Ono)
