Live Choreographie: Garden of Eden
The choreographer URSina Tossi and her team explore with their new work E(R)DEN the ambivalent character of the 'Garden of Eden.' For them, paradise is neither a heavenly nor idyllic place, neither a religious control room, a place of longing, nor a tourist resort. It is a state of abundance that must be created.
In times of ecological scarcity as well as the disappearance of closeness, contact, and attention, E(R)DEN searches for the power of movement, encounter, warmth, and ecstasy. In this way, dance becomes a subversive practice that undermines the logic of efficiency and celebrates abundance. E(R)DEN digs into the layers of earth, history, and desire, seeking another form of ground, one that is soft, permeable, and alive. What if paradise is not a geographical location, but an attitude of sharing and opening?
