The San Luca’s Fair is one of the oldest cattle fairs in Europe. The origins date back to a thousand years ago, when the shepherds moved from the Apennines to Maremma and stopped to Impruneta to treat cattle with the merchants.
The San Luca Fair appears documented for the first time in an edict dated October 25, Protected content

It was customary for the shepherds to make a stop to sell milk, cheese, wool, and for a visit to the sanctuary. The Imprunetines in turn welcomed the transumers by displaying objects in the square that could have made them comfortable, such as shoes, clothes, utensils, pots of that particular terracotta that would become the Cotto dell'Impruneta, famous all over the world and also used by Brunelleschi for the dome bricks of the Florence Dome.
A fair grown so much to attract crowds of visitors from the nearby city, who could conclude business here, participate in parties and moments of fun. As is still the case today.
Among the attractions are the traditional cattle market and decoy birds, agricultural and commercial products, the exhibition of agricultural machinery and classic car show.
In Piazza Buondelmonti there is a market with food, sweets, clothing and various items.
In "Barazzina" the proloco presents "Taste of Italy" where we will find food and wine tastings and restaurant where you can taste the famous "Peposo dell'Impruneta".
In the Accursio Square we will find the Luna Park with attractions for adults and children.
At the Galleria IAC (Via della Croce Protected content organized the collective exhibition of the Art Art Impruneta Association, which will be attended by photographers, sculptors and painters.
