Egon Schiele Special Event
Dear friends, I invite you at this special event.
"Egon Schiele" is a journey into the life, thought,
and work of an artist who died too young, at just 28 years old, in Protected content .
Accompanying viewers in the artist's footsteps is Erika Carletto, a new actress whose singing evokes the atmospheres of Vienna and Prague at the time. Between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, these cities were the driving forces of the revolutions and contradictions that still characterize our contemporary world.
It is precisely in this Bohemian town, which in Schiele's time was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, that the roots of an art capable of subverting the aesthetic, moral, and psychological norms of the time and of leading us—even today—to the essence of the human being are rooted. The film's pivotal moment is Protected content , the year in which affirms Schiele's unique style. It was precisely in Protected content Halley's Comet crossed the sky, leaving a luminous trail that united latitudes and reshaped chronologies. Under that sky we can imagine Egon walking the streets of Prague alongside Franz Kafka ( Protected content ), another recurring figure in the documentary. Moreover, in that Vienna it was precisely the perception of time that changed: a time no longer linear and causal, but condensed, affective, "fatal," like the "stellar hours" of which Stefan Zweig spoke, in which birth and death are inextricably linked.
