Are you ready to go to see a prestigious naturalistic place?
We will go at the President Mattarella Castel Porziano residence.
Hiking footwear and technical clothing for outdoor activities are required.
The trail winds through a mixed deciduous oak forest, with a predominance of Turkey oak, common oak, and Hungarian oak. The undergrowth, generally consisting of Mediterranean scrub mixed with strawberry trees, is enriched with oriental hornbeam in cooler, more humid microclimates. Along the trail, you'll encounter a natural cork oak forest once used for cork extraction, evidence of an artisanal practice that has characterized, and in some places still characterizes, forest areas of the Mediterranean basin.
The tour continues with a visit to the scientific bird ringing station and a visit to a monumental tree (known as a holm oak), and an immersive experience at the Capocotta Museum of History and Nature.
