Dear all,

On May 24th, Protected content will hold an interesting art workshop about "The Pinnacle and Luxury of Chinese Ceramic Art During the Periods of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong". The workshop will be presented by Mrs. Wei Zhao, an experienced Chinese Antique Connoisseur. I'm happy to be able to arrange some seats for our group members.

During the workshop, Mrs. Wei Zhao will present us the pinnacle and luxury of Chinese ceramic art during Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong period in Qing Dynasty with plenty of beautiful pictures and detailed inside stories. It will cover aspects from the royal palace furnishings, emperor’s politics, royal religion and sacrificial rituals, royal wedding and birthday celebration to the emperors’ personal preferences and the innovations of kiln officers. It is expected to be an exquisite visual feast of Chinese ceramic art for the audience. The workshop will be held in English.

About Chinese Ceramic Art during the period of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong:

Kangxi (AD Protected content , Yong Zheng (AD Protected content Qianlong (AD Protected content of the Qing Dynasty, which known as "the Golden Age of Kang & Qian", witnessed the zenith of social, political, economic and cultural power in feudal China. The Qing Empire under the reign of Qianlong was the most powerful country in the world at that time. The three emperors themselves were not only men of great learning, proficient in Chinese music, chess, calligraphy and painting, but also wise admirers and promotors of the splendid Chinese culture.

Therefore, during those time Chinese ceramic art underwent a golden era, in which its manufacturing reached its peak under the official management and production system run by royal capital. The royal kiln only focused on artistic creations, innovative techniques and finest making, sparing neither labour nor money till luxury. Today, the antique porcelains of “the Golden Age of Kang & Qian” have become one of the most valuable lots in the international auction market.

About Mrs. Wei Zhao, lecturer of the Workshop
Mrs. Wei Zhao has been collecting the Chinese antique pottery and porcelain for 14 years. Her practical experience and excellent expertise made her chosen as a member of “The Authentication Committee for China Civilian Antique Collections” and a member of “The Chinese art Appraisal Committee” in Protected content . Both committees are regarded as authorities on the authentication of the Chinese antiques and Chinese ancient arts, most of whose members are experts and researchers from China’s mainstream Museums.
