Moon Festival - 1st Time in Hamburg
The Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is one of the most important traditional festivals in many parts of Asia. It celebrates the full moon and the bonds between family and friends; traditionally, people gather to share a meal and admire the bright moon.
Numerous food vendors from Hamburg and Berlin are bringing their specialties along, turning the festival into a culinary journey of discovery. Participants already announced include Supersuess, Mr. Noodle Chen, Chuan Heritage, Cai Kitchen, Dum99, Tantan Douhua, and Miba, among others.
Visitors can attend workshops to learn about traditions associated with the Moon Festival, decorate their own mooncakes, and paint traditional lanterns. In this way, the festival combines street food with cultural insights, inviting guests to discover the background of the celebration.
