This concert evening puts the largest and lowest-pitched string instrument, the double bass, in the spotlight with all its facets. Often called the "king of instruments" due to its deep and resonant timbre, it forms the foundation of many musical ensembles.
But anyone who thinks the bass is merely accompaniment will be pleasantly surprised this evening!
