Coffee, Books, Galleries, A Garden: Berlin´s Nicest Petrol Pump

International Art in a Protected content Gas Station in the Heart of Berlin
Imagine this: international art showcased in a historic Protected content gas station, right in the middle of the German capital. Two major galleries and a café with a garden, run by the publishing group "Die Zeit" have moved into the former home of the small Grosz Museum in Berlin-Schöneberg. With two exciting exhibitions, this beloved spot for both Berliners and tourists has reopened its doors last month under a new name: "Die Tankstelle" (The Gas Station).
For nearly two and a half years, the site housed a museum dedicated to the works of the late artist George Grosz.
Art by Basquiat and “Tom of Finland”
To kick things off, the Pace Gallery—one of the world’s leading galleries for modern and contemporary art—will present an exhibition titled "Reverse Alchemy: Dubuffet, Basquiat, Nava," featuring works by Jean Dubuffet, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Robert Nava.
Meanwhile, the Zurich-based Galerie Judin will open with an exhibition dedicated to the Finnish artist Touko Laaksonen Protected content , better known as "Tom of Finland."
Join me for a relaxed coffee in the garden, a walk through the galleries, and then either hop across the street into the Urban Art museum or walk with me to the Winterfeldtplatz market, a paradise for foodies.
