Canada Day Celebrations in OTTAWA
Canada Day Celebrations in Ottawa's Parliament Hill have always been very special and meaningful.
Standing on the lawn where Confederation was celebrated, surrounded by fellow citizens, watching the formal pageantry of Canadian democracy—it connects you to something larger than any single celebration.
I am renting a car & will have space for 3 more people @ $80 each if anyone is interested.
Tuesday June 30th:
9:00am, leave Toronto and drive to The Long Sault Parkway, a10km stretch along the St. Lawrence River that skips across 11 islands and is within a pebble’s throw of 10 communities intentionally submerged at the bottom of a river?
We will stop at Mille Roches, the largest beach on the St. Lawrence River for a couple of hours to relax, go for a swim and have a picnic (bring food & drink). Midafternoon we will head out to Ottawa, check into our own accommodations as we all have different needs & wants. (Recommend U of Ottawa residences, walking distance to downtown Sparks St, the Rideau Canal, ByWard market & Parliament Hill) go for dinner and get familiar with our surroundings.
