Pan-Afrikan Protected content Festival carries the theme EXODUS, a call to witness and reflect on the journeys of Afrikan people across generations. EXODUS speaks to departure and arrival, exile and homecoming, loss and liberation. It is the crossing of oceans and borders, but also the crossing into memory, resilience, and collective healing.
The Toronto Pan-Afrikan Film Festival invites audiences and filmmakers to witness, remember, and celebrate the unstoppable spirit of a people who have never stopped moving forward.
For African and Caribbean communities across the diaspora, Exodus is not a distant history; it is a living reality. Every story of survival, every act of creation, every gathering in Little Jamaica, Rexdale, Scarborough, or beyond is part of that unfolding journey.
