This programme brings together works that, for me, embody everything that makes people feel alive inside. They are musical snapshots of love and hope, of longing, faith and wisdom, but also of the darker sides such as despair, jealousy and hopelessness, which are just as much a part of our existence. Each composition tells of a deep human emotion and finds its own musical language – sometimes in the passionate fire of the south, sometimes in the refined, elegant charm of Vienna. Different styles and languages reflect the diversity of our inner world and show that music can express what words alone cannot say, across all boundaries. This concert is an invitation to let yourself be moved and to look into the mirror of your own soul.
