In Nuevos Arraigos, artful and folk melodies, secular and sacred texts, as well as homophonic and polyphonic compositional techniques, are woven together to form a colourful tapestry of sound.

The focus is on music from Spain, Latin America and South America. The selected pieces range from Renaissance works through folk traditions to contemporary interpretations. These reinterpretations forge a vibrant bridge between musical worlds. At the heart of *Nuevos Arraigos* lies the unique combination of the hammered dulcimer and the guitar. With its shimmering, harp-like tones, the hammered dulcimer brings a new dimension to the interpretation of Latin American and Spanish music.
