Time Shelter by Georgi Gospodinov
In Time Shelter, an enigmatic flâneur named Gaustine opens a 'clinic for the past' that offers a promising treatment for Alzheimer's sufferers: each floor reproduces a decade, transporting patients back in time to Protected content , 1960s and other decades. As the news about this clinic spread, an increasing number of healthy people turns up asking to stay at this 'time shelter', and by doing so they hope to escape their present life. This leads to a mixture of past and present. Nostalgia is not about what you had, but a memory of what you wanted. Where are we actually living at this moment ?
The book won the prestigious Booker Prize in Protected content .
