Lichtental Parish Pilgrimage: 40 Years on the Path!

Join us for the 40th Pilgrimage of the Lichtental Parish! On Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, Protected content , we will embark on a scenic hike from Retz through Hardegg to Drosendorf. The pilgrimage will be led by Oliver Barbik, Pastoral Intern of the Lichtental Parish.

Highlights:
•Day 1: Hike from Retz to Hardegg (approximately 18 km, about 5 hours).
•Day 2: Hike from Geras to Drosendorf (approximately 13 km, about 3.5 hours).

Each day includes two short breaks and one longer pause. Please bring your own snacks.

Schedule:
•Day 1:
•8:30 AM: Breakfast at Konditorei Wiklicky in Retz (Znaimerstraße 2, Protected content .
•9:30 AM: Start of the hike from Retz to Hardegg.
•6:00 PM: Dinner at Gasthaus Thayabrücke in Hardegg.
•Day 2:
•8:37 AM: Bus departure from Hardegg to Geras.
•10:00 AM: Visit to the Abbey of Geras with a devotional service.
•2:00 PM: Mass at the Parish Church of Drosendorf.
•3:30 PM: Departure of the Reblaus-Express train from Drosendorf to Retz, featuring onboard refreshments.

Accommodation:

Overnight stay in Hardegg at the following accommodations:
•Pension Thayatalblick: Double rooms at €62.50 per person, including breakfast.
•JM Apartments Hardegg: Single rooms at €59 per person, plus €10 for breakfast at Pension Thayatalblick.

Transportation:

Public transportation is recommended for arrival and departure. Parking is available at Retz Station.

Registration: is available until 30.03.
