One of the best kept secrets of Paris is that once a year in early April you can go fishing at night in the Seine. You will have a chance to catch almost any kind of fish, such as salmons, who travelled all the way from the coast of Scotland or the Norwegian Fjords. There will also be seahorses and sharks. You even can be so lucky to see a mermaid if you behave wisely.

Strange and inexplicable phenomenons have been noticed in the water of the Seine on early April mornings just around dawn (see photo). Anonymous sources have reported seeing a huge animal resembling the Loch Ness monster, except in the color shocking pink!

We will now go and explore this for ourselves, and for this occasion we have privatised Pont Neuf for Internations only.

Be on time on the bridge at 00.05 and bring your best fishing pole and net. If you want to attract a mermaid, you have to dress up as a prince and pretend to be drowning. It can be arranged if you plan in advance.

NB: There will be an official competition: The one who catches the biggest fish will win a trip in a time machine – destination of your own choice! If you want to sign up for the competition, you are encouraged to consider your desired destination very carefully, as the budget only allowed us to get a one-way ticket.

To sign up for the competition, you have to indicate the time and place you wish to travel to in a comment on the event wall. Anything is possible, the sky is not even close to the limit.

Happy fishing!
