Sustainable Development Festival 2026
The Protected content Development Festival is the largest Italian initiative to raise awareness and mobilize citizens, younger generations, businesses, associations, and institutions on issues of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
It's an opportunity to spread the culture of sustainability and bring about cultural and political change that will enable Italy to implement the United Nations Protected content and achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As part of the festival program, a meeting dedicated to the circular economy and the sustainability of food supply chains will be held at the University of Pavia.
The event, held in Italian, aims to foster discussion between universities, institutions, businesses, and local organizations on the challenges and opportunities related to the sustainability of the agri-food system. Representatives from the academic world, the third sector and the production system will participate.
Among the topics at the center of the debate:
• short supply chains and the valorization of local production;
• waste reduction and recovery of surpluses;
• innovation in collective catering services;
• collaborations between the university and the production system.
Pavia is easily accessible from Milan by train, and the event venue is about a 15-minute walk from the station.
