We’ve recently surveyed the scientific literature on measurements of fields associated with the human body, electric and magnetic fields detectable off the body, visible and infrared light, and the ultra-weak photon emissions associated with all living things.
Much has been reported in recent years around these measures, and many questions remain. Does the science support the idea of a field theory of life? If so, what might such a field theory look like? How would it differ from our present view of life as a very complex biochemical machine? And what assumptions are we making when we suggest a 'field theory' for living things?
In this session, discover:
Field theories have been suggested to explain the complexity and dynamism of life
Advances in biophysics and other areas have stimulated field theories of life but many questions remain
If such a field theory were possible, we discuss what it might look like
