This event is a collaboration between the longstanding Pasar Leiden festival and the museum, aiming to celebrate and bridge Indonesian and Indo culture across generations.
What to expect at Pasar Leiden:
Culture Corner: Outdoor area featuring cultural organizations, artists, and performers from the Indonesian and Indo diaspora.
Lectures & Presentations: Talks highlighting the history and significance of Indonesian and Indo culture.
Guided Tours: Special tours of the museum’s Indonesian collection, putting historical artifacts into cultural context.
Kids Corner: Family-friendly workshops such as kite-making, face painting, crafting, and creating wayang puppets.
Live Music & Performances: A mix of traditional and contemporary performances for all ages.
Market & Food: Outdoor market with food courts and stalls offering Indonesian food and cultural items.
