Stargazing at the Hub in Regent's Park
The Baker Street Irregulars ( Protected content ) are putting on their monthly free star gazing event at theProtected content . This is a really nice event I've tried to attend off an on for the past few years. In a city teeming with millions of busy people, you're left wondering sometimes how many of them look up!
It may not be obvious that in a place with lots of street lights and some cloud cover that you could do star gazing at all. But once a month, the BSIA gathers in the Hub and some of its members bring out their telescopes to show views to anyone who is interested.
Many of the telescopes automatically track objects across the sky, which partly explains how they're able to get some nice views. During the event, the Protected content stays open, so if you get chilly outside you can head in, buy a coffee and come back out again.
