Coffee & Ice-Skating at the World’s Largest Rink
Let’s be honest! Winter in Montreal is great, but there is something truly bucket-list worthy about gliding down the largest ice-skating rink.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to embrace the cold and get out of the city for a day, this is it!
We are putting together a group trip from Montreal to Ottawa for a day of fresh air, sore (but happy) legs, and amazing vibes of the Winterlude Festival.
We’re talking about a UNESCO World Heritage site that turns into a 7.8-kilometre frozen path through the heart of the capital. It’s not just a rink; it’s a journey.
You haven't truly lived until you've eaten a cinnamon-dusted BeaverTail with mittens on while standing on the ice.
Don’t worry about the 2-hour drive or the price of gas. We’re organizing carpooling from Montreal, so we can share the ride, swap stories, and make some new friends before we even hit the ice. Please, let us know if you can be a driver.
"But I don't even own skates!"
No excuses! The Canal is for everyone. Whether you’re a pro or you haven't touched the ice in a decade, the rental kiosks at Rideau or Fifth Avenue have you covered.
We’ll head out early from Montreal to beat the crowds, spend the morning and afternoon exploring the 7.8km stretch, and head back once we’re sufficiently filled with hot chocolate.
Are you in? Life is better when you’re moving. Let’s make this winter one to remember instead of just one to "get through."
