Michelangelo’s Presence in Bologna + the History of Local Dances

The Dominican complex preserves some of his earliest youthful works Protected content the Candle-Bearing Angel, Saint Proculus, and Saint Petronius, created for the Ark of Saint Dominic. These sculptures already reveal the anatomical research and expressive strength that would later define his mature style.
9:40 AM – Walk to Palazzo Fava across Piazza Maggiore.
10:00 AM – Guided tour of the exhibition that celebrates the 550th anniversary of the birth of Michelangelo Buonarroti, exploring the connection between the Renaissance master and the city of Bologna.
